Photo Booth Hire - FAQ's by those who hire from us

We hope that we have covered everything our booth can offer on our website, including the various features and equipment, so we have gone over a few of the financial questions people often ask, for added peace of mind. Please call us on 0121 353 9408 if we haven't answered your question.


Do you offer discounts for multiple bookings or extended hours on the night?

Yes we do. If you book multiple days for one event, we will discount any additional days by 10%. For multiple / repeat bookings, made within 18 months of each other, the same discount is applied. For bookings of 3 hours or more, any additional hours you request before or during the event are charged at £45 per 30 minutes, or £85 per hour, a 40% discount. Other discounts can be discussed depending upon your specific requirements.


How does your referral voucher work?

We will give you up to 8 referral vouchers when you book, which we will ask you to sign (the number you receive depends on your hire duration). Then, you quite simply hand them to anyone who might be interested in hiring a photo booth from Photo Booth 4Events, whether that be friends, family, work colleagues or those who attend your event. If, as a result of you passing on a voucher we take a standard booking, we will give you 10% of that booking fee by way of saying thank you, which we pay to you once we have been paid in full. So, if you successfully convert 8 referral vouchers, you can earn back £316.


Do I need to pay any more than your standard price of £395 for a 3 hour booking?

Only if you live further than 30 miles from us, request additional hours on the night, or if you want to customise the photo booth. Any change in price thereafter will be a reduction, given that we can remove some of our features to make it more affordable for you, should that be necessary. We do sell key rings and fridge magnets for your guests to buy on the night, as well as DVDs, additional sets of prints and guest books if so required. However, our standard package still includes a DVD of your images and messages, and double prints and a standard guest book at no extra cost.


Do I have to hire your booth for a minimum of 3 hours?

No, we hire our booths for as little or as long as you require. For bookings of less than 3 hours, we hire the booth at £70 per 30 minutes. However, where for 3 hour bookings we cover the first 30 miles travel, for shorter hires we may charge travel expenses from our location to yours.


What is a Time Waiting charge?

This is where you require us to arrive more than 1 hour before the hire period, for whatever reason that may be. So, if an event starts at 3 pm, we would arrive at 2 pm to set up. If however, you needed us to set up at midday and then return at 3 pm, we would charge 2 hours Time Waiting (12 - 2). For local bookings however, we may waive this fee.


Do I need to pay to customise the booth?

Yes, as this is not included in our set price, and is an extra you will have to pay no matter who you approach. How much depends on what you are looking for. However, given one of our family relatives owns a printing firm, you only pay £333 + VAT to brand the entire booth. If you only want to customise half of the booth, that option is also available to you. Please note, any discounts on the booking do not extend to customising costs.


Do I need to pay your travel expenses?

Only for events outside of 30 miles from Birmingham. However, we don't charge a flat fee, but we calculate the actual cost of petrol to your location at 45 pence per mile (minus the first free 30 miles).


Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, to secure the hire of your photo booth we ask for a £100 deposit. Your deposit is refundable if you cancel with a minimum of 30 days notice of your event date, less a £30 administration fee. See our terms and conditions for more information.


When do I need to settle the balance?

The balance is due 30 days before your event begins. You can on-line bank transfer, cash payment into the account, paypal (subject to a 4% charge) or cheque. If paying by cheque, this must be received and cleared 30 days before your event.
